NAPLAN TEST COMPARISONS INACCURATE AND MEANINGLESS FOR SMALL SCHOOLS

The Federal Government’s “My School” website has used the grade 3,5,7 and 9 NAPLAN test results to compare schools’ performance. The Sydney morning Herald has converted this information into a simplistic ranking of schools. Korowal School believes that the use of these results for comparative purposes is objectionable on grounds of educational and ethical principle. Also, the use of results from small schools is statistically inaccurate and meaningless.

2009 HSC results

Congratulations to all of our pathways students and their teachers. Outstanding results were gained this year in Music, Art and Society and Culture. Axel Williams' art work has been selcted for Art Express and Luciano Carment's work in music has been selected for Encore.

$850,000 grant for multi-purpose hall and primary classroom additions

Korowal has been granted $850,000 under the Federal Government's "Building the Education Revolution" program. Read more and to view preliminary plans and drawings.
