| FTP access |
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is the means by which you can transfer web site files to and from your web site. Additional accounts may be set up, for example to allow different staff to manage different areas of a complex web site.
Unfortunately FTP is often used to attack poorly managed web servers, so Secure FTP (available through many free software clients) is preferred. |
Where possible, server access is by Secure FTP alone.
One account is set up by default for each web site. |
Time-based service and support fees may apply for specialist setups, or when configuration changes are required after initial setup. |

Graphical web statistics packages measure and display usage of your web site. Real-time web visitation statistics are included in hosting plans (Webalizer for Unix, SmarterStats for Windows). |
